ARE YOU PREPARED?? - Everybody departs this life eventually and if your like me
usually with lots of stuff.
“WHOSGETTINGTHESILVER” :-
– Allow you to securely record your important personal and sentimental items plus
the practical stuff like documentation; licences; keys etc. passing that information on
to your nominated Next of Kin.
– Allows sons and daughters who pre-decease their parents to pass on device
security information so parents can retrieve memorable data etc.
**Access to any data, by those left behind, is granted only after the demise of the person concerned.
Heart attacks; cancer; accidents – all these and much more can strike us down suddenly - then your
usually too ill or its too late to sort out the practical stuff – your stuff. This often leads to family
disputes.
When my remaining parent died, I had the unsavoury task of opening the house door and trying to
sort out a million things and no clue where to start.
Because of the emotion there is a tendency to rush the disposal of their lifetime acquisitions, just to
get it out of the way - the worst of which is using indiscriminate house clearances.
The App and website “whosgettingthesilver.co.uk” will help provide those left behind, with the
information necessary to deal with the practical jobs that have to be done.
You can enter your data into the app a bit at a time and come back to it when its convenient. Once
recorded any item can be updated/edited at any time.
The App is designed to be an easily editable add-on to a legal Will. Which is best suited to
deal with the high value assets :- houses; bank accounts; cars etc. This should minimise
legal costs and obviate the need make constant changes to the Will. A reference to the
App in the will can be added to ensure your disposal instructions are carried out.
Using the Apps comprehensive catalogue of prompts and examples, anything you deem
worthy will be securely stored so your Next Of Kin will have all the information they need.
Anything not covered by the prompts can be easily added by you.
Sensitive data in the app is automatically encrypted, but if you prefer you can simply
provide the location of where the data can found and because you dont submit your
address when you register and you dont even have to register in your own name, the data
in the App will have no meaning to anybody but you and yours – so its pretty secure. But
dont forget to inform your nominated Next of Kin of any alias you create.
The App also allows sons/daughters who, sadly, pre-decease their parents to leave device
access information – allowing the parents to redeem any memorable data they may wish
to keep and cherish.
Hopefully the app will encourage you to tidy your affairs and centralise associated items -
putting them in an appropriate place.
